Fields

The focus of the IFISR is on exact theoretical sciences. Here, exactness is understood in the sense that scientific results are based upon mathematical reasoning or are amenable to experimental verfication.

Traditionally, in addition to mathematics, the theoretical disciplines of physics, astronomy, chemistry, biology belong into this category. Encouraged are investigations of interdisciplinary nature that involve more than a single field and that also go beyond established paths in methods and ways of collaboration if they lead to new scientific insights. Moreover, cutting-edge research that connects the disciplines above with, e.g., medicine, psychology, linguistics, economy, etc., can also be supported.

All research is supposed to be conducted in accordance with internationally accepted ethical principles and standards.
